Job summary

Nebulock in the United States is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own data ingestion, transformation, and search layers for its threat‑hunting platform. You will scale pipelines processing TBs of telemetry daily and own integrations with EDR, IAM, Cloud, and SaaS data sources.

You’ll collaborate with detection engineers and product teams to define data models, observability, and reliable, cost‑aware architectures that power Nebulock’s agentic hunting capabilities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building data pipelines for customer-facing products.
• Experience with data warehousing technologies.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, Rust, or similar.
• Hands-on with large-scale event streaming systems (Kafka or similar).
• Experience with AWS or GCP.
• Strong systems thinking; understand trade-offs in performance, cost, complexity.
• Able to adapt, iterate, and ship quickly.
• Hunger for growth in a low-ego environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines ingesting TBs of telemetry per day.
• Own API and event stream integrations with diverse data sources (EDR, IAM, Cloud, SaaS).
• Develop and maintain the transformation layer to create a normalized, enriched data model.
• Build an engine to correlate entities across data sources.
• Work on core search capabilities across large datasets.
• Collaborate with detection engineers, threat hunters, and product engineers.
• Set data engineering standards, observability, monitoring, and automated testing.
• Contribute to architecture and technical direction of Nebulock's platform.
