Job summary

NAIC seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data solutions within the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). You’ll lead data architecture, pipelines, quality, and governance, partnering with data stewards, architects, and business units to deliver trusted data aligned with NAIC objectives.

Residency within 100 miles of Kansas City, MO is required; remote work is allowed with occasional on-site collaboration as needed. Competitive compensation included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise data platforms (ingestion, transformation, quality, ops).
• Advanced SQL, ETL/ELT, data modeling, and cloud-based data technologies.
• Experience with SDLC, Agile, and SAFe.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise data solutions within the EDP.
• Lead data architecture decisions and mentor teammates on data engineering best practices.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines for trusted, secure data delivery.
• Implement data governance, quality, and observability across platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across ITG and business units to translate requirements into data solutions.
