Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise data platforms in a 100% remote role. You will build scalable pipelines, establish governance, and mentor engineers across health-system data domains.

You will design data models, integrate AI into workflows, and collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions using Azure, Copilot Studio, and Power Platform tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or related roles.
• Strong SQL skills with complex query optimization and data preparation.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery and operational outcomes for one or more data domains.
• Design, implement, and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows.
• Lead the design, development, and governance of Power Platform solutions (Power Apps / Power Automate / Power BI).
• Mentor team members and establish reusable development standards.
• Translate analytics requirements into production-grade data solutions.
