Job summary

SHI One within the Advanced Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and lead data engineering and ETL workflows. You will collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into centralized data architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 10 years' experience developing data applications, relational databases, and ETL platforms.
• Experience building highly available and testable ETL systems supporting critical operations.
• Expert knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.
• Expert knowledge of SQL scripting.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to present ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to shift priorities with analytical problem-solving.
• Strong ability to work independently or in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.
• Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive data strategy including data model designs and data warehouse management.
• Coach team members via code/design reviews to ensure standards.
• Ship high-quality solutions and maintain technical excellence.
• Coordinate with development teams, stakeholders, and customers for data systems.
• Support a data engineering environment focused on developer experience.
• Recommend continuous improvements to ETL processes.
• Participate in end-to-end data architecture design and evaluation.
• Lead creation of documentation, diagrams, and visualizations.
• Review best practices around data architecture with the team.
