Job summary

SHI—a leading IT solutions provider—seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data engineering and ETL workflows for SHI One within the Advanced Solutions Group. You will collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business needs, outline data integration designs, and establish a new data engineering practice guiding the product organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
• Minimum 10 years' experience developing data applications, relational databases, and ETL platforms.
• Expert knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.
• Expert knowledge of SQL scripting.
• Demonstrates excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills.
• Ability to present ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to shift priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong ability to work independently or in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive organizational data strategy, including data model designs, database development standards, and data warehouse management.
• Coach team members through code and design reviews to ensure standard integration.
• Lead by shipping high-quality, technically excellent solutions.
• Coordinate with development teams, stakeholders, and customers for smooth data systems.
• Extend and support a dataengineering environment focused on developer experience and efficiency.
• Recommend continuous improvements to existing data and ETL processes.
• Optimize end-to-end data architecture, including technology selection, design, security, and testing.
• Lead creation and maintenance of technical docs and architecture visuals.
