Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a senior AI/ML software engineer in Charlotte to design, build, and operate AI/ML solutions end-to-end, including GenAI capabilities, MLOps, and secure data platforms. You will collaborate with product, operations, and engineering teams to deliver scalable ML models and AI-driven features within enterprise lending platforms.

Responsibilities include data integration, model deployment, monitoring, and governance, with a focus on security, compliance, and production

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with Python
• 3+ years of hands-on AI/ML experience, deploying models
• Productionizing ML models using MLflow and MLOps frameworks
• Strong end-to-end ML lifecycle knowledge: data preparation, features, training, validation, deployment, monitoring
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices for ML capabilities
• Hands-on CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices for ML and app workloads
• Experience with containerization and deployment technologies (OpenShift, Docker)
• Proficiency with Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, pytest, SonarQube, Artifactory, etc.
• Experience in large, multi-team enterprise environments with governance
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and software teams to refine data requirements and deliverables throughout the development lifecycle
• Code solutions to integrate, clean, transform, and control data in data systems per acceptance criteria
• Build data pipelines, data structures, and metadata for data-informed decision making and risk management
• Develop and execute test plans, contribute to test suites, and triage issues
• Drive complex IT projects to ensure on-time delivery and governance compliance
• Document data engineering requirements for deployment, maintenance, and business functionality
• Partner with stakeholders to address data management gaps and communicate solutions
