Job summary

Bank of America is hiring a data engineer to build and scale AI-ready data platforms. You will design end-to-end pipelines, implement data lake architectures, and collaborate with product owners and data scientists to deploy AI solutions.

You’ll define standards for data and AI delivery, ensure production-grade quality, and drive data-to-insight workflows in a hybrid, US-based setting. A strong programming and SQL background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Finance, Statistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience building and operating production-grade data pipelines and platforms.
• Advanced SQL expertise across large-scale datasets.
• Strong programming in Python and Spark with production-quality code.
• Experience with Airflow or similar schedulers to manage end-to-end ETL/ELT workflows.
• Knowledge of Data Lake concepts, lakehouse patterns, and data delivery methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate with business and technology partners at all levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build the data foundation for AI; design and deliver end-to-end pipelines and Data Lake architecture using Python, Spark, SQL.
• Enable AI products by collaborating with Product Owners and Data Scientists to move GenAI solutions into production.
• Set platform standards for data and AI architecture, patterns, and deployment across the organization.
• Engineer production-grade, scalable data pipelines with robust ETL/ELT practices.
• Own the data-to-insight lifecycle; monitor data flows and ensure insights reach users.
