Job summary

Bank of America in the United States is seeking a seasoned data engineer to develop and deliver data solutions that drive technology and business outcomes. You will work with product, operations and engineering teams to productionize ML/GenAI capabilities, design end-to-end ML pipelines, and ensure security, governance and reliability across large enterprise platforms.

Strong Python, ML lifecycle, MLflow, CI/CD and OpenShift/Docker experience are required, with a focus on measurable efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, MIS, Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years overall experience in software engineering with strong hands-on development in Python.
• 3+ years of hands-on AI/ML experience, including Gen AI in production environments.
• Proven experience productionizing ML models using MLflow and MLOps frameworks.
• End-to-end ML lifecycle expertise: data prep, feature engineering, training, validation, deployment, monitoring, retraining.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices to expose ML capabilities.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices for ML and applications; containerization in production using OpenShift or Docker.
• Experience with version control and enterprise SDLC tools.
• Experience in large, multi-team enterprise environments with governance standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to data requirements and delivery across the development lifecycle.
• Code to integrate, clean, transform and control data in data systems per criteria.
• Build data pipelines and datasets enabling data-informed decisions and risk management.
• Develop and execute test plans; contribute to integration and performance tests.
• Drive complex IT projects ensuring on-time delivery per release processes.
• Document data engineering requirements for deployment and support.
• Collaborate with partners to ensure data management standards and governance.
