Job summary

CVS Health's People Analytics Data Engineering team is seeking a seasoned data engineer to design, build, and manage robust data pipelines and ETL processes that integrate HR data from multiple systems.

You will lead a team, mentor engineers, ensure data accuracy, governance, and security, and partner with HR leaders to deliver reproducible data workflows using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• 3+ years ETL/ELT experience.
• 3+ years SQL and relational databases experience.
• 2+ years Python programming for data manipulation.
• 3+ years cloud platforms experience; GCP preferred.
• 2+ years data warehousing with Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery.
• 2+ years scheduling with Airflow or Composer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage robust data pipelines and ETL processes integrating HR data from multiple systems.
• Develop and optimize data workflows to ensure data accuracy, quality, and availability for analytics.
• Oversee a team of data engineers, including mentorship and coding standards guidance.
• Partner with HR analytics to structure data for analysis and produce reproducible workflows in Python, SQL, and analytics tools.
• Ensure data governance and security requirements are met in line with company policies and HR regulations.
• Collaborate with HR leaders and IT stakeholders to clarify requirements and support strategic decisions.
