Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Data Engineer to support the People Analytics Data Engineering team. You will design and build data pipelines, data warehouse models, and analytics workflows in cloud platforms to enable HR insights.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with HR, IT, and business units, and help ensure secure, compliant access to HR data for reporting in Python, R, and BI tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Data Engineering.
• 3+ years' experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
• 3+ years' experience with SQL and relational databases.
• 2+ years' experience programming in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis.
• 3+ years' experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 2+ years' experience with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• 2+ years' experience with scheduling tools like Airflow or Composer.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage robust data pipelines and ETL processes that integrate HR data from various systems.
• Develop and optimize data workflows to ensure data accuracy, quality, and availability for the People Analytics team and stakeholders.
• Oversee a team of data engineers, providing mentorship and guidance on best practices in data engineering, version control, and coding standards.
• Work closely with People Analytics to structure data for analysis, develop data models, and create reproducible workflows for reporting in Python, R, and BI tools.
• Ensure data governance and security protocols in compliance with company policies and regulations, focusing on HR data confidentiality.
