Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a senior data engineer to own the data foundation powering the Medicare revenue engine. You will design and operate pipelines, ingest diverse sources, and ensure data quality and lineage for finance forecasts.

You will mentor a team, implement lakehouse standards, and collaborate with finance, actuarial, and modeling teams in a regulated environment, leveraging Databricks, Spark, Python, and SQL to drive accurate revenue projections.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering with healthcare data experience.
• 4+ years production experience with Databricks/Spark (PySpark) and Python.
• 4+ years in risk-adjustment, actuarial, or finance workloads.
• Strong PHI, HIPAA controls and data security knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data pipelines and analytic tables feeding the Medicare revenue projection model.
• Ingest and reconcile claims, encounters, eligibility, EMR, and CMS artifacts.
• Implement HCC/ICD-10 mapping and versioning for model data.
• Own data quality, lineage, and snapshot processes for accruals and audits.
• Collaborate with Databricks lakehouse teams on CI/CD, access control, and cost/performance.
• Provide trusted datasets to Modeling, Finance, Actuarial, and Revenue Integrity.
• Define SLAs for freshness and completeness and monitor source-system changes.
• Lead data engineers and set engineering practices in a regulated environment.
