Job summary

Tyson Foods in Springdale, AR is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to sit 100% onsite at our Terminal Office. You will build scalable data pipelines, support real-time data refreshes, and optimize cloud costs while enforcing data security across systems.

You will lead complex projects, architect data solutions, and mentor junior engineers in SQL and visualization techniques to deliver actionable dashboards for business stakeholders. A relevant degree and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

Job Summary: The Senior Data Engineers are experts in data streaming, building data pipelines that support real-time data refreshes and are cost-optimized for computing resources. They deeply understand data security, implementing row-level and column-level security measures. This role typically involves leading the implementation of complex projects, using advanced big data technologies, and ensuring robust data pipeline orchestration across multiple systems to help drive better business outcomes. Your insights will help shape strategic decisions and enhance operational performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Architect scalable data solutions, including data warehousing and big data technologies, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Lead the development of data visualization strategies, ensuring they contribute to data-driven decision-making at a strategic level.
• Lead the design and orchestration of complex data pipelines and ETL processes, focusing on optimizing data models.

Education

College education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required. 4 years of related experience may be acceptable.

Preferred Certification(s)

Any relevant certifications.

Experience

3+ years of relevant and practical experience required; experience in transportation data preferred.

Advanced skills in data streaming and real-time data processing. Expertise in designing complex data architectures and scalable systems. Deep knowledge of big data technologies and extensive experience with data security measures. Ability to lead data architecture reviews and approvals.
