Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Sr Data Engineer to join the founding team of the firm’s AI Product Group. This role builds scalable data pipelines, a governed data foundation, and knowledge layers to enable AI agents to retrieve and interpret data accurately.

The ideal candidate has strong Python/SQL skills, hands-on experience with lakehouse architectures, and a passion for data quality, governance, and scalable production solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Experience building production data pipelines on lakehouse platforms.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines transforming structured/unstructured data.
• Develop and maintain lakehouse architecture and data models.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, provenance, and governance.
• Develop knowledge graphs and retrieval capabilities for AI applications.
• Own production delivery and operational support for data pipelines.
