Job summary

Dimensional Fund Advisors in Charlotte, NC is seeking a senior Investment Engineering professional to own data platforms and analytics tooling. You will build robust pipelines, semantic layers, and scalable data models translating investment workflows into production infrastructure.

You will lead data engineering initiatives, collaborate with Portfolio Management and Global Client Group, and drive CI/CD enhancements to ensure uptime and data reliability. Hybrid work is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a highly quantitative field.
• 7-10+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and large financial datasets.
• Experience building backend data platforms and BI frontend tools (Tableau/Power BI/Looker).
• Proven ability to design scalable data models and production pipelines.
• Leadership in data engineering initiatives and stakeholders management.
• Strong data storytelling translating complex architectures for investment professionals.

Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize internal data platforms and self-service apps for secure, high-performance data access.
• Design robust automated data pipelines and scalable data models for investment workflows.
• Set technical benchmarks through clean, testable code and rigorous reviews.
• Partner with Portfolio Management and Global Client Group to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Own end-to-end product lifecycle including roadmaps and CI/CD improvements.
