Qualifications

• At least 5 years of industry experience as a data engineer or similar role.
• Experience creating automated testing and applying design patterns.
• Expert in Python and fluent in SQL; built maintainable data pipelines.
• Architected data pipelines from start to finish, selecting technologies, building, testing and rollout.
• Experience with asynchronous systems, APIs, streaming, and multithreading; monitoring.
• Product mindset with a focus on business impact and prioritization.
• Strong communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• ML/AI awareness and deployment/monitoring knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and machine learning engineers to develop pipelines and ETL tasks to facilitate extraction of insights.
• Understand product requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.
• Establish data architecture processes and practices that can be scheduled, automated, replicated and serve as standards for other teams.
• Collaborate with Data Leadership to identify and push forward meaningful projects across the commercial org.
