Job summary

Solovis is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Data) to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that support ingestion, transformation, validation, and delivery across our products.

This role works closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into robust ETL/ELT solutions, develop backend services in Python and Java, and ensure data is accurate, timely, and production-ready.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software/data engineering experience.
• Proficient in Python and Java.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data validation.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Familiar with PostgreSQL and SQL optimization.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Build reliable data workflows for batch and event processing.
• Translate data requirements into technical solutions with stakeholders.
• Develop backend services and data processing jobs using Python/Java.
• Implement data validation and quality checks to improve data trust.
• Monitor production data pipelines and optimize performance.
• Maintain technical documentation for data flows and runbooks.
• Contribute to sprint commitments and release goals with ownership.
• Support CI/CD practices and deployment of data engineering solutions.
