Job summary

Symantrix inc is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and scale a data platform for analytics and product teams. This role involves designing reliable data pipelines and ensuring the platform is production-ready.

The ideal candidate should have at least 6 years of experience in data engineering, strong skills in SQL and Python, and familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake. This is a long-term, fully remote contract position.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data engineering building production pipelines.
• Strong SQL and Python; experience with Spark or similar distributed processing.
• Hands-on with a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Orchestration with Airflow or dbt and solid ETL/ELT design.
• Experience with streaming (Kafka or Kinesis) and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate batch and streaming data pipelines feeding analytics and product features.
• Model and document datasets for analysts, data scientists, and application teams.
• Implement data quality, observability, and alerting across the platform.
• Optimize warehouse performance and storage cost.
• Collaborate with the Client's analytics and engineering teams on requirements and delivery.
