United Therapeutics seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain our data and analytics architecture in a hybrid RTP, NC office. You will lead cross-functional data initiatives and collaborate with sales, science, and compliance teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, strong SQL and Python skills, and deep knowledge of Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and data warehousing concepts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and maintaining business-critical EDW and pipelines.
• 3+ years of data architecting and engineering delivering complex data solutions.
• 3+ years of Tier 1 SaaS integration work (e.g. Salesforce) or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience working with AppDev/BI/AI teams.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Spark, notebooks and Delta Lake.

Responsabilités

• Design, build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and Azure Data Factory to support enterprise data warehousing and analytics
• Work with stakeholders to provide access and security controls
• Monitor and maintain daily data processing operations, including monitoring, alerting, and issue resolution
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers and other team members, including reviewing and validating work delivered by external consultants
• Monitor and troubleshoot data systems (e.g., SQL Databases, Databricks) to ensure performance and reliability
• Implement best practices for data management; lead initiatives to improve practices, tools, and processes
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to technical documentation
• Provide consultation and leadership around business intelligence and analytics platforms
