Qualifications

• 6+ years of data engineering, data warehousing, or enterprise data platform delivery.
• 6+ years of SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning for large-scale systems.
• 3+ years of ETL/ELT frameworks, pipeline orchestration, and heterogeneous source-system integration.
• 3+ years of Python for data processing, automation, and integration.
• 3+ years of Databricks, Spark/PySpark, and Delta Lake.
• 3+ years of Azure or GCP.
• 1+ year integrating data from heterogeneous sources.
• 1+ year data quality, validation, observability, and production support practices.
• 1+ year Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment practices.
• 1+ year in AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of scalable, governed data engineering solutions for business, analytics, and AI/ML stakeholders.
• Develop and manage robust ETL/ELT pipelines from heterogeneous sources.
• Develop Python and PySpark solutions for distributed data processing and automation.
• Optimize data platform performance and cloud consumption through SQL tuning and cluster configuration.
• Build and optimize workflows on Azure Cloud and Databricks for enterprise data needs.
• Migrate legacy business logic into documented, testable transformation logic.
• Define data quality, validation, reconciliation, and parity testing practices.
• Establish data lineage, ownership, and cataloguing with rollup rules.
• Implement security and compliance measures for PHI/PII under HIPAA.
• Build CI/CD, version control, and automated testing for data pipelines.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and runbooks for reliability.
• Support AI/ML workflows by provisioning trusted data and scalable infrastructure.
• Design and publish reusable data products and APIs for downstream use.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, architects, data scientists, and engineers.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled data solutions responsibly.
• Mentor data engineers and analysts through code reviews and best practices.
