Job summary

Huron is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Clinical Insights team and support data pipelines, environment provisioning, and client deployments across 10+ environments. You will work at the intersection of DataOps, DevOps, and delivery engineering, building reliable data infrastructure for client reporting.

The role emphasizes production-ready data pipelines, incident response, and cross-team collaboration, reporting to the DataOps lead with opportunities to influence architecture and security

Qualifications

• US work authorization required.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, Eng, or related field.
• 2–3+ years in data engineering, DevOps, or DataOps.
• Strong AWS data pipeline infra (S3, Athena, Lambda, EC2).
• Strong Python scripting for ingestion, validation, and automation; Bash.
• CI/CD pipelines experience (Jenkins) and Git workflows.
• Experience deploying applications and multi-client environments.
• Incident response and RCA in data pipelines; operations-focused.
• Comfortable as a generalist across infra, data, and DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily data pipelines across client environments and triage failures.
• Set up deployment of client-facing apps from environment setup to go-live.
• Validate daily data loads and refreshes across all client environments.
• Provision new client environments and manage access controls.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and AWS infrastructure.
• Maintain runbooks and documentation.
• Support security, PHI handling, and compliance.
