Job summary

Huron is seeking a Lead Data Engineer in the United States to design, build, and operate data pipelines and services for the Insights Platform focusing on revenue cycle, supply chain, and pharmacy analytics.

You will work with product leadership and engineers to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions, define standards, and mentor more junior data engineers. Remote option with strong collaboration and ownership culture.

Qualifications

• U.S. work authorization is required.
• A technical (math, engineering, computer science) B.S. degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong computer science fundamentals.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 6+ years of professional Python and SQL experience.
• Experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Designing and providing level of effort estimates for changes to the Insights applications.
• Developing high quality modifications to the application source code, processes, and architecture.
• Delivering fully tested code prior to prod-deployment when appropriate.
• Troubleshooting bugs and issues in the application.
• Coordinating with other engineers to ensure comprehensive changes to the platform meet business needs.
• Recommending and implementing enhancements that streamline processes and improve platform performance, availability, or functionality.
• Maintaining updated documentation of system and solution designs.
• Providing applicable training to various internal functional SMEs and stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers working on data solutions.
