Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to accelerate the analytics landscape by designing, building, and deploying data solutions that enable AI, ML, and BI initiatives across the enterprise.

You will lead a small, high-skill team, leverage AWS and GenAI tools, and translate complex data into user-friendly insights while collaborating with business partners and end users to deliver production-ready data products.

Qualifications

• :Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or its equivalent in education and/or work experience.
• :6 additional years of data engineering experience.
• Self-motivated engineer with curiosity and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• :Build and operationalize complex data solutions, correct problems, apply transformations, and recommending data cleansing/quality solutions.
• :Design complex data solutions, including new data sources and alignment to data strategies.
• :Analyze complex sources to determine value and inclusion in analytics processes.
• :Incorporate data governance, security and quality as core competencies.
• :Act as data and technology SME to support delivery and educate end users.
• :Perform data and system analysis, assess defects and incidents of high complexity.
• :Collaborate across teams to support delivery and educate end users on data products.
• :Perform other duties as assigned.
