Job summary

Roku, Inc. seeks a senior data engineering leader to drive enterprise data quality, governance, and discovery initiatives across global data assets. You will architect and mentor teams, extend open-source data quality tools, and deliver scalable batch and real-time pipelines in AWS/GCP environments.

You will partner with product managers, data analysts, and ML engineers to translate requirements into robust data models, improve event logging, and enforce governance standards at scale.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
• 6 years of experience in the position or a related occupation.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field with 8 years of progressive experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data quality, discovery, and governance frameworks.
• Establish and enforce enterprise-wide data governance standards and tooling.
• Lead design and implementation of custom integrations within data discovery frameworks.
• Develop AI/ML-based solutions for data quality and data discovery.
• Extend open-source data quality tools like Deequ and Great Expectations.
• Design robust batch and real-time data pipelines using Apache Spark.
• Build data warehouses and solutions in AWS/GCP at scale.
• Develop cloud-agnostic tooling, CI/CD, and Kubernetes deployments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers and consultants.
• Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to translate requirements into scalable data models.
• Drive long-term data governance and engineering strategies.
