Job summary

Roku is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Core Analytics team supporting the Viewer Product. You will leverage data analytics to improve the Home screen and discovery features, identifying trends and delivering actionable insights that shape the Roku experience.

You will build dashboards, data pipelines and models, partner with product management and engineering, and drive adoption of data-driven features across the platform. Strong communication and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in a quantitative field (Statistics, Data Science, Economics, etc).
• 4+ years in product analytics, preferably media/entertainment
• Proficiency in SQL, SAS, R, Python or similar
• Experience influencing business outcomes with data
• Hands-on visualization experience (Tableau/Looker)
• Experience with A/B testing, modeling, or forecasting
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and take initiative
• Experience using AI/LLMs to improve analytics workflows

Responsibilities

• Analyze structured and unstructured data; communicate insights to stakeholders
• Advise on product strategy decisions for Home screen and discovery products
• Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for operations and health
• Develop data pipelines to power automation, validation, reporting
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align data science with goals
• Design and run A/B tests to evaluate changes and impact
• Perform exploratory analysis on trends; build advanced Roku platform insights
• Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership on initiatives and opportunities
