Job summary

Roku is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Core Analytics team supporting the Viewer Product. You will analyze data to improve the Home screen and discovery experiences, collaborating with product and engineering to build features and dashboards that drive engagement and ROI.

You will investigate trends, create dashboards and pipelines, and apply AI/ML methods to scale insights. Expect a fast-paced environment with cross-functional impact and a strong emphasis on data-driven decision

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or CS.
• 4+ years of product analytics experience, preferably for media/entertainment platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL, SAS, R, Python, or similar languages for querying data and analysis.
• Experience influencing quantitatively meaningful business outcomes.
• Hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker.
• Experience with A/B testing, statistical modeling, or forecasting.
• Experience using AI and Large Language Models to enhance productivity and analytics workflows.

Responsibilities

• Analyze structured and unstructured data to produce insights for stakeholders.
• Advise on product decisions to improve Home screen and discovery experiences.
• Develop dashboards, reports and visualizations to monitor key metrics.
• Build data pipelines powering automation, validation and reporting.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to align data science with goals.
• Design and run A/B tests to evaluate product changes and measure impact.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and advanced Roku platform analytics.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership on opportunities.
