You will partner with data scientists and ML engineers, advancing streaming-capable architectures while balancing cost, latency, and performance.

This is a hybrid, full-time role with cross-team collaboration in a fast-paced marketplace.

Qualifications

• Experience designing modular dbt projects and writing clean SQL.
• Design scalable pipelines using workflow orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Proficient Python for pipeline logic, operators, and tooling.
• Strong understanding of point-in-time correctness and data freshness bounds.
• Experience optimizing queries and cloud costs in BigQuery or similar environments.
• Hands-on IaC with Terraform or Pulumi.
• Reliability mindset with data SLA awareness and post-mortems.
• Ability to translate requirements into data contracts for partners.

Responsibilities

• Own data foundations and maintain feature pipelines feeding the foundation model platform.
• Lead incident responses and monitor SLAs; drive observability and cost optimization.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and design discussions to raise the bar.
• Promote streaming-aware architectures balancing cost, latency and performance.
