Job summary

WOO is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and maintain a scalable data platform that supports analytics and reporting for a crypto exchange. This role focuses on batch and streaming data pipelines, data modeling, and ensuring data quality across multiple data sources.

You will work independently in a fully remote setup, collaborating with engineering and business teams to meet evolving requirements. You will implement pipelines with Python, SQL, Kafka, and Spark, design robust data models,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience in crypto or Web3.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with maintainable data workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow, Kafka, and Spark.
• Experience with data warehouses and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Ability to investigate data discrepancies and troubleshoot pipeline failures.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines using Python, SQL, Kafka, and Spark.
• Develop and operate Airflow workflows, including scheduling and retries.
• Design and maintain data models and warehouse datasets for analytics.
• Improve data quality and freshness via validation and monitoring.
• Optimize pipeline and query performance and manage costs.
• Collaborate with data users to define datasets and document data flows.
