Job summary

Boeing Employees Credit Union seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement enterprise‑scale data solutions and scalable pipelines in a cloud environment. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and architects to deliver secure, governance‑driven data platforms that support analytics and AI‑enabled capabilities.

The role emphasizes modernization, data governance, and cross‑functional collaboration, with flexibility for remote work across approved locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Design Enterprise Data Solutions: design and develop complex, multi-tier cloud-native data solutions and integration services.
• Build Scalable Data Pipelines: coordinate the design and development of complex data workflows, including batch and near real-time integrations.
• Drive Technical Innovation: design and support prototypes and scalable data solutions balancing technical excellence with business needs.
• Champion Data Governance: implement metadata management, data quality, lineage, and governance practices.
• Enable Data Curation: guide data policies across platforms and workflows based on technical requirements.
• Support and Mentor Data Engineering Teams: mentor and coordinate teams through code reviews and testing efforts.
• Collaborate on Technology Strategy: document roadmaps and cloud modernization initiatives with leadership.
• Elevate Engineering Excellence: contribute to CI/CD practices and engineering best practices.
• Enhance Reliability and Observability: improve pipeline monitoring and operational outcomes.
• Leverage Modern Engineering Tools: use automation and AI-assisted tools to improve productivity.
• Partner Across Functions: collaborate with architecture, governance, security, and platform teams to deliver scalable data products.
• Communicate Technical Expertise: present topics to engineering audiences and grow capabilities.
• Ensure Compliance and Security: adhere to competencies and regulatory requirements.
