Job summary

The Cigna Group seeks a Software Engineering Senior Advisor for the Bloomfield, CT area. Responsible for delivering software from requirements to production deployment, with a strong emphasis on data engineering, ETL pipelines, and analytics in a healthcare context.

Hybrid work arrangement available. The role requires collaboration across engineering, product, and business teams, implementing scalable and secure data solutions on AWS, with emphasis on performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field with 5 years in healthcare software
• Experience with data engineering and data warehousing including scalable solutions
• Proficient in SQL, Python and Spark for data transformation and analytics
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS) and data architectures
• Familiar with CI/CD practices (GitHub, Jenkins) and automation tools
• Healthcare domain knowledge including membership claims and clinical data concepts
• Collaborates across engineering, product, and business teams to meet deadlines and quality expectations

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of CI/CD tools and improve toolsets and processes
• Create strategies and architectures to resolve issues
• Develop data pipelines and ETL, optimize for security, fault tolerance and scalability
• Build data warehousing solutions and enable ad-hoc analytics
• Design end-to-end deployment automation using CI/CD and Terraform modules
• Maintain and optimize SQL databases and run efficient queries
