Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking full stack software engineers to join the Data & Analytics group. You will design, develop, and deploy applications to understand provider relationships and care delivery, using a range of technologies from big data to modern web frameworks.

You will own features end-to-end, from testing to deployments, and collaborate across cross-functional teams. You will work with Linux, Git/SVN, and cloud infrastructure (AWS), delivering scalable solutions for healthcare users

Qualifications

2+ years in Agile teams (Scrum or Kanban).
2+ years with OO languages: C, C++, Java, Scala, Python.
3+ years in scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, R, Ruby, Perl.
3+ years in web development frameworks: React, Django, React-native.
RDBMS knowledge (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and experience with large data sets.
Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, AWS.
Must be a current Cigna or Express Scripts contractor.
You know Linux.
Experience with Git/SVN.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Develop full stack applications that are scalable, robust, and thoughtfully designed, across the stack from database to front-end.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design to implementation.
Ship production code to a large customer base with ownership of testing and deployments.
Collaborate with engineers, domain experts, and end-users to address business needs and navigate the organization.
Communicate engineering trade-offs and priorities under tight timelines.
