Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Software Engineering Manager in Newton, MA to lead a data-centric software engineering team. The role focuses on building scalable solutions with technology, analytics, and platform design to manage and search information.

Responsibilities include shaping technical vision with cross-functional leaders, architecting applications using AWS, Elasticsearch, React, Python, ML, and both relational and graph databases, and delivering robust ETL processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in CS/SE or related field with experience.
Experience in Healthcare domain.
Experience with Python ETL scripts and REST API integrations.
Experience with PostgreSQL and graph databases.
CI/CD and Agile software delivery experience.
Gathering and translating requirements into technical specs.
Develop Python standalone applications and integrate with Hadoop.
RESTful API interactions for data processing.
Unit and functional testing in Python.
Scalable ETL design for structured and semi-structured data.
XML-based data migration workflows.
Code refactoring, reviews, and production support.
CI/CD pipelines and deployment support.
Issue analysis and performance improvements.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with data scientists and governance to define data solutions vision.
Provide technical leadership in architecture and technology decisions.
Design apps using AWS, Elasticsearch, React, Python, ML, databases, REST/GraphQL.
Incorporate AI-generated data to deliver value to end users.
Ensure adherence to architectural standards and enterprise tech policies.
Support a hybrid work schedule.
