D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build a modern data foundation powering analytics, AI, and digital solutions. You will design reliable pipelines, reusable data products, and automated quality controls to enable trusted data across the enterprise.

The role requires hands-on ownership, problem-solving skills, and a track record of delivering scalable data systems. Travel may be required as part of partnerships and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IS/Math or related field.
• 5–8 years of professional data engineering experience.
• Proven ability to lead complex data projects from design to production.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and coordinate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement end-to-end data pipelines ingesting diverse data sources.
• Design comprehensive data models for multiple business domains.
• Lead cross-domain data initiatives and resolve complex data challenges.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues; implement monitoring and automated validation.
• Define and enforce code standards, CI/CD practices, and testing.
• Lead technical design reviews and recommend scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with analytics, BI, and data science teams to meet downstream requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with IT and source-system teams.
• Research emerging data technologies and present recommendations to leadership.
