Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a senior data governance/platform leader to drive governance, data lineage, and AI-enabled data solutions across enterprise data platforms. You will define onboarding, tenant enablement, and service delivery strategies while partnering with engineering, risk, and business stakeholders to achieve platform adoption and value realization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading data management, analytics, governance, or data platforms enabling AI/GenAI.
• Deep expertise in governance, metadata management, data lineage, glossaries, and data quality.
• Strong governance controls for privacy, security, risk and regulatory compliance.
• Proven success driving enterprise adoption of data platforms and AI-enabled solutions.
• Hands-on with data governance platforms, catalogs, lineage tools, and knowledge graphs.
• Experience establishing operating models for onboarding, tenant enablement, and service delivery.
• Strong understanding of modern cloud-based data platforms and large-scale ecosystems.
• Experience managing multiple tenants with governance, security, and controls.
• Ability to define and monitor adoption metrics and governance KPIs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with senior leadership.
• Demonstrated balance of strategic planning and hands-on execution in a complex enterprise env.

Responsibilities

• Assembles large, complex data sets meeting functional/non-functional requirements across systems.
• Maintains, cleans, and transforms data; builds data pipelines and metadata controls.
• Collaborates with teams to ensure data architecture is implementable and scalable.
• Defines data pipelines to enable data-driven decisions; adheres to release processes.
• Contributes to test suites; analyzes results and leads issue triage.
• Identifies gaps in data governance and leads remediation initiatives.
• Mentors data engineers in CI/CD and defines KPIs and controls.
• Defines governance/adoption/tenant service roadmaps for platforms.
• Partners with engineering to ensure scalable, secure platform services.
• Establishes operating models, SLAs, and support frameworks for platform stability.
• Evaluates emerging technologies in governance, cataloging, and platform ops.
• Mentors and coaches team members to foster governance and customer focus.
• Drives enterprise data governance frameworks and data quality initiatives.
• Promotes metadata management, data lineage, and data classifications enterprise-wide.
• Partners with stewards, architects, and risk to ensure compliance.
• Enables discovery and consumption of data assets via governance-enabled self-service.
• Encourages consistent use of data lineage, tagging, and quality indicators.
• Develops strategies to increase adoption of platform capabilities and AI-enabled data solutions.
• Defines onboarding frameworks, playbooks, and training for tenant success.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to improve platform capabilities and accessibility.
• Drives awareness and education on governance requirements and use cases.
• Measures adoption trends and removes barriers for continuous improvement.
