Job summary

Agilyti is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and improve data platforms for a range of clients over the long term. Initial work may include modernizing reporting workflows and designing reusable data models.

You will own technical design, write production-grade Python and SQL, and work directly with stakeholders to turn complex data needs into reliable solutions, including using AI to accelerate development and review.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of data engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL, Python, dbt, and data modeling.
• Prior experience with Alteryx and Tableau.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development practices.
• Practical experience with LLM-based coding tools.
• Strong communication skills and comfort with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build: Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and analytics models in Snowflake and dbt.
• Code: Develop in SQL and Python using Git-based workflows for collaboration and code review.
• Model: Apply data-modeling principles to create reusable, well-documented datasets.
• Assess: Evaluate existing reporting and transformation processes (Alteryx/Tableau).
• Verify: Use AI coding tools while validating correctness, performance, and security.
• Partner: Collaborate with clients, analysts, and engineers on architecture decisions.
