Job summary

Actively AI in New York City seeks a Senior/Staff Data Platform Engineer to build and scale Actively’s data foundation, pipelines, transformations, and infrastructure powering agents, insights, and workflows.

You’ll design scalable ingestion/transform layers, enable real‑time and mini‑batch data, and ensure data quality and reliability across thousands of accounts. Strong Python/SQL/DBT and BigQuery or Snowflake experience required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and operating core data infrastructure in high-growth environments.
• Experience powering ML models, intelligent workflows, or real-time decisioning.
• Fluent in Python, SQL, and DBT with hands-on BigQuery or Snowflake knowledge; familiar with orchestration tools.
• Experience building streaming/mini-batch pipelines with Pub/Sub, Kafka, or Dataflow.

Responsibilities

• Own the ingestion and transformation layer; build pipelines from CRM, transcripts, and signals.
• Ensure data freshness, accuracy, and low-latency access for real-time decisions.
• Architect real-time and mini-batch workflows to keep data synchronized with customer activity.
• Build transformation systems to handle per-customer variations while staying consistent across all customers.
• Own end-to-end reliability: observability, lineage, schema management, alerts.
• Work across the full stack: Python, SQL, DBT, BigQuery, Snowflake; contribute across layers.
