Position Summary:

Senior Data Engineer at Precision eControl, LLC, Cincinnati, OH. Responsible for the daily operations of a large data warehouse with Azure infrastructure. Collaborate with business, product, and tech teams to align with organizational goals. Design stable, reliable, and effective dynamic ETL pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics and leverage Big Data expertise. Remote work is possible from any location in the U.S., subject to company policy.

Essential Functions:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using metadata-driven approaches with Microsoft Azure Synapse and Azure SQL.
• Implement data cleansing and enrichment processes to ensure high-quality data for analytics and reporting.
• Optimize environment performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency continuously.
• Work with Continuous Integration/Delivery practices using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, data flows, and best practices.
• Implement DataOps practices, including data monitoring and alerting, to ensure data quality and pipeline reliability.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• At least 6 years of experience with data modeling (star schema).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with Microsoft Azure Data technologies, including Azure Synapse Analytics.
• At least 4 years of experience in Python and big data engineering technologies such as Spark.
• 3 years of experience with Azure SQL.
• Experience with Data Lakehouse/Medallion architecture.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience.
