Position Summary: Sr. Data Engineer at Precision eControl, LLC, Cincinnati, OH. Responsible for managing the daily operations of a large data warehouse with Azure infrastructure. Collaborate closely with business, product, and technical teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Drive the design of reliable, effective ETL pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics and Big Data technologies. Remote work is permitted within the U.S. according to company policy.

Essential Functions:

1. Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using metadata-driven approaches with Microsoft Azure Synapse and Azure SQL.
2. Implement data cleansing and enrichment processes for high-quality analytics data.
3. Optimize environment performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
4. Utilize Azure DevOps and Github for Continuous Integration/Delivery.
5. Create and maintain documentation on data pipelines, flows, and best practices.
6. Implement DataOps practices, including data monitoring and alerting to ensure data quality and pipeline reliability.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• At least 6 years of experience with data modeling (star schema).
• At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure Data technologies, including Azure Synapse Analytics.
• At least 4 years of experience in Python and Big Data engineering tools like Spark.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Azure SQL.
• 3 years of experience with Data Lakehouse/Medallion architecture.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience.
