Position Description:

Position: Senior Data Engineer

Location: 12200 Herbert Wayne Court, Suite 150, Huntersville, NC 28078

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for ETL processes from various sources into Data Warehouse and Data Lake.
2. Implement efficient data integration processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
3. Collaborate with data architects to define and implement data models supporting business requirements.
4. Optimize data structures for storage and query performance.
5. Clean, transform, and preprocess raw data for analysis.
6. Apply data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data integrity.
7. Administer and maintain databases, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
8. Monitor database performance and optimize query execution.
9. Work with big data technologies to handle large data volumes efficiently.
10. Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
11. Allow 100% telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with four (4) years of relevant experience, or a Master’s Degree with two (2) years of relevant experience.

Must possess demonstrated experience with:

• BigQuery and Snowflake
• RDBMS such as PostgreSQL or MS-SQL
• Talend
• Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
• Terraform
• CI/CD pipelines
• Version control tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket
• JIRA and Confluence
• Streaming services like Kafka or Google Pub/Sub
• Programming languages such as Python, SQL, Shell, or Bash
• Linux operating system
• MDM (Master Data Management)
