The role partners with cybersecurity and data stakeholders to align legal risk with business strategy, regulatory changes, and evolving technology trends.

The candidate should have a JD, active bar status, and 4+ years in relevant roles, with preferred background in AI, privacy, and governance.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
• At least 4 years of attorney experience in law firm, government, military judge advocate, or in-house counsel.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive, business-minded legal support to cybersecurity and data teams.
• Support cybersecurity operations, incident response preparedness, and risk management.
• Identify and manage legal risks related to data use, privacy, emerging technology, and governance.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and technical teams to craft practical solutions.
• Monitor regulatory developments in cyber and data to inform decisions.
• Review disclosures, regulatory filings, and executive reporting related to cyber and data.
