Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Senior Counsel for Enterprise Data and Cyber to provide strategic, business-minded legal support to our cybersecurity and data organizations. This role partners with Legal, Compliance, Risk and tech teams to address complex regulatory and technology challenges.

You will advise on data governance, privacy, AI, and security program matters, with a focus on practical, legally sound solutions and proactive risk management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active state bar in good standing.
• At least 4 years of attorney experience in law firm, government, military JAG, or in-house counsel.

Responsibilities

• Strategic counseling & support to cybersecurity and data teams.
• Provide legal guidance on cybersecurity operations and incident response readiness.
• Assist in data use, privacy, governance, and tech risk management.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk and technical teams to craft practical solutions.
• Monitor regulatory developments in cyber and data fields to inform risk strategy.
• Review disclosures and regulatory filings related to cybersecurity and data.
