Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Senior General Superintendent II for a data center project in Dayton/Sidney, OH. You will oversee all field operations on large-scale data center builds, live on site, and drive safety, schedule adherence, and quality across trades.

You will lead a high-performing team, manage budgets, coordinate with owners/architects, and mentor junior staff while fostering Gilbane's values of integrity, care, teamwork, and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• OSHA 30-hour certified; STS-C Certification; First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training.
• 15+ years of experience on $50 million -$100+ million commercial/industrial construction projects or multiple projects in a lead superintendent role.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates Gilbane's trade contractors and sub-contractors to meet the approved project schedule.
• Supervises and develops the project team.
• Manages the project budget for general conditions and Next 150/Site Services.
• Develops, documents, and communicates the work plan for field changes.
• Leads site walks with owner, architect/engineer, and financial institutions to show progress.
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to coordinate trades and anticipate problems.
• Obtains necessary permits and coordinates inspections with AHJ.
