Job summary

AECOM seeks a Structural Engineer specializing in hyperscale and colocation data center facilities. You will lead design of large concrete/steel structures, work with cross-disciplinary teams, and help advance low-carbon strategies.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role with remote flexibility and periodic travel. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in structural design for data centers, proficiency with BIM ACC (Revit), ETABS, and SAP2000, and a PE/SE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Licensed U.S. Professional Engineer (PE or SE).
• Experience in data center, mission critical, or large scale facilities.
• Experience with BIM ACC (Revit), ETABS, RAM, SAP2000, Safe.
• Experience with precast concrete systems, steel design, seismic design, and foundations.
• Demonstrated experience with low embodied carbon materials and sustainable design approaches.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis for multiple data center buildings, including hyperscale and colocation facilities.
• Develop design documentation for tilt-up concrete panels, precast structures, steel framing systems, and deep/shallow foundations.
• Coordinate design deliverables with architecture, civil, MEP, and construction teams to ensure alignment with objectives.
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, and calculations with quality and code compliance.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Engage with clients, contractors and authorities to address queries and clarifications.
• Support business development, proposals, and conceptual structural design for new pursuits.
• Travel as needed for project-related activities.
