Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to work within the Advanced Manufacturing team on data center projects, including new builds and retrofits. You will perform structural engineering tasks, build models, and coordinate with internal teams across Jacobs offices.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience, a PE license, and proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit/MicroStation/S3D and RISA/STAAD. Expect travel and a hybrid work arrangement in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• 8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with ability to become registered in additional states.
• Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
• Knowledge and application of Building Codes and design standards.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite including MS Teams for remote coordination.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of structural engineering tasks.
• Create computer models for structures.
• Perform member design calculations and foundation calculations; assist with estimating and schedules.
• Coordinate designs with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
