Flexential seeks a Principal Solutions Architect to act as the top technical authority for data center infrastructure across interconnection, power, and mechanical design. The role emphasizes pre-sales leadership, architectural risk management, and executive-level storytelling to support customer decisions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in data center engineering or mission-critical infra.
• Expertise in power distribution, heat rejection, mechanical systems and resilience modeling.
• Strong knowledge of data center construction methodologies and commissioning.
• Ability to translate engineering complexity into business outcomes (ROI, TCO, risk).
• Experience presenting at industry events or authoring external technical content.
• Excellent communication across executive, customer, and engineering audiences.

Responsibilities

• Independently define and lead solution strategy for high-value sales pursuits as principal technical authority for data center infra.
• Engage strategic customers during pre-sales to anticipate long-term architectural needs and risks.
• Architect non-standard, highly complex physical infrastructure solutions aligned with priorities and platform strategy.
• Lead customer requirement sessions and executive workshops translating constraints into architectural approaches.
• Provide executive-level technical storytelling and solution justification during RFPs and workshops.
• Serve as final escalation point for solution integrity meeting standards and resilience objectives.
• Establish and evangelize architectural standards, reference designs, and best practices.
• Perform advanced evaluations, modeling, and design validation for novel approaches.
• Influence product strategy and long-range capacity planning through customer insight and research.
• Act as informal technical leader across Architecture, Engineering, Product, Operations, and Sales.
• Translate complex designs into quantified business outcomes like ROI, TCO, and risk analysis.
• Represent the company externally through conferences, standards bodies, and executive briefings.
• Author white papers and thought leadership content positioning the company as an industry leader.
• Initiate and drive internal tool development and enablement materials for teams.
