Job summary

The Boldt Company, a leader in data center construction, seeks a Project Safety Director to provide leadership and oversight for safety programs on complex projects in Glencoe, MN with travel. You will partner with project management, superintendents, safety professionals, and trade partners to embed a strong safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance and site-specific safety plans.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of construction safety experience, CSP/CHST preferred, and the ability to coach

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction safety experience, preferably on large or data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926) and safety best practices.
• Experience implementing and maintaining site-specific safety plans, policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Experience evaluating high-risk construction activities (electrical, lifting/rigging, fall protection, excavation, confined space, etc.).
• Ability to conduct jobsite inspections, audits, and risk assessments, with corrective actions.
• Experience with incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• CSP or CHST preferred; OSHA 30-Hour Construction training preferred; travel/onsite work required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for safety programs on complex data center construction projects.
• Collaborate with project management, superintendents, safety professionals, and trade partners to embed a strong safety culture.
• Identify, mitigate, and monitor safety risks; ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and project safety programs.
• Coach and influence project teams and trade partners to uphold safety expectations in a fast-paced, multi-contractor environment.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
