The Weitz Company seeks a Project Executive to lead data center projects in Cedar Rapids and Des Moines, IA. You will oversee construction operations, provide leadership, and guide strategic growth planning with a focus on on-time, within-budget delivery.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in project management, senior leadership experience, and preferably data center exposure. Strong communication, mentoring, and networking skills are essential. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of project management experience.
• Must have been the Senior Most Manager, Project Executive, or Director.
• Data center experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent combinations considered.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management/scheduling software (JDE, Procore, Bluebeam, scheduling tools).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans for large-scale construction projects.
• Manage project teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Communicate progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders including senior management and clients.
• Direct on-site field management to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Support proposal creation and development of client presentations.
• Oversee financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interests.
• Lead preconstruction teams in analyzing value, opportunities, and risk.
• Coordinate project commissioning and handover activities.
• Manage project closeout activities.
• Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to grow business opportunities.
• Travel for business as required.
