The Weitz Company, a full-service general contractor, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a data center project in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will oversee complex construction, manage budgets, schedules, and teams, and partner with architects and engineers to deliver quality outcomes.

Qualified candidates have 10+ years of PM experience in GC, a related degree, and proven leadership in large projects. This role offers competitive pay, bonus eligibility, and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction project management experience.
• Experience with commercial GC projects preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in senior living, student housing, hospitality, condo or similar lived-in product desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex construction projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and high quality.
• Provide leadership and management direction to project teams; foster collaboration and ensure adherence to goals.
• Identify and assess project risks; develop mitigation strategies and monitor risk factors.
• Lead client and stakeholder communication, manage expectations, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders to deliver successful projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules; manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Prepare and manage project schedule, address long lead items, and initiate changes to maintain plan.
• Negotiate and execute change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Complete monthly project status reports, owner billings, and financial risk assessments.
• Manage project budget and expenses; prepare financial reports and forecasts.
• Implement quality control and assurance programs and identify areas for improvement.
• Identify value engineering and scope reduction opportunities.
• Ensure safety plan compliance and communication to teams and subs.
• Assist with preconstruction and buy-out processes.
• Identify and resolve constructability issues.
