Job summary

Fleet Data Centers is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer in Austin to own coordination, readiness, and closure for assigned scopes on data center projects. You will drive issues to resolution with internal and external partners and mentor engineers, bridging project controls and construction management.

You’ll lead readiness, review workflows, and executive reporting while mitigating risks and improving coordination across teams on fast-tracked, large-scale facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical owner-side experience.
• 4+ years in construction, project engineering, or project controls.
• Ability to drive coordination across multiple stakeholders on large projects.
• Experience with Procore and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Own coordination, readiness, and action closure for assigned scopes.
• Track owner decisions, clarifications, and commitments; flag blockers.
• Maintain review workflows and status visibility for timely decisions.
• Produce leadership-facing status, trends, and risk reports.
• Anticipate risks in coordination, turnover, and readiness.
• Monitor long-lead equipment and OFCI readiness for scopes.
• Manage readiness tracking for commissioning, turnover, and operations.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders as a trusted contact.
• Mentor Project Engineers and improve controls and workflows.
• Drive process improvements across the project team.
