Job summary

CBRE Energy seeks a Senior Analyst to drive data center site evaluation, powered land assessment, and energy infrastructure analysis for hyperscale and colocation clients. You will assess transmission capacity, interconnection pathways, and utility agreements while solving power challenges for a fast-moving advisory practice.

This entrepreneurial role on a small team involves building the practice, supporting rapid diligence, and presenting findings to clients and brokers to win mandates.

Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years of experience in energy markets, utility operations, interconnection, data center development, or powered land transactions.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in writing for client deliverables and internal communications.
• Proven ability to interpret complex utility load studies, service agreements, and contract structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical evaluation of prospective data center sites including transmission line proximity, substation ratings, and fiber routes.
• Interpret utility load study results and service agreements; advise clients on interconnection and power supply terms.
• Engage with utility planning and regulatory stakeholders; represent CBRE in client meetings and site visits.
• Draft reports, proposals and client memos translating complex findings into decision-ready content.
