Job summary

CBRE seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale data center campus projects in the greater Washington DC area and Richmond, VA. You will coordinate architects, engineers, and suppliers to ensure compliant execution and on-time milestones.

Responsibilities include governance, reporting, cost control, and rapid RFI responses, with SOX considerations where applicable. A strong focus on best practices and stakeholder management is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of relevant project management experience.
• Strong organizational and management skills; ability to collaborate with the broader team.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and construction PM tools.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chains to deliver compliant projects.
• Analyze and track critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slips.
• Verify project governance, processes and systems.
• Ensure application of best practice on all projects.
• Produce formal project status reports and other reports as required.
• Monitor multiple construction projects to ensure standards are applied correctly.
• Manage interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews.
• Communicate project information within the team through meetings and written communications.
• Forecast and update key project milestones.
• Manage local design teams in line with commission criteria.
• Provide technical support to owners, architects, GC and regional stakeholders.
• Rapid response to RFIs from the field.
• Provide cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance.
• Independent review of status reports, drawings, timelines and costs.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role.
• Client management: develop relationships to maximize opportunities.
• Strategic thinking: advise on approaches to meet client and business objectives.
• Knowledge management: capture learnings from each project.
• Process improvement: identify ways to improve internal systems and processes.
